Local Sarcoma Support Groups are usually fairly small, friendly, relaxed groups, often run by patients and carers working together with sarcoma nurse specialists or doctors. The meeting format may include a talk from a guest speaker, group discussion, informal chatting, and refreshments, and some groups may also organise social events and activities in addition to regular meetings. Meetings of the Gobowen Group take place either online, or in person at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, usually on the third or fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
