My Name is Helen Milner I am registered with Ofsted as a Childminder and am a qualified Primary School Teacher. I work from my home providing a home from home environment and go by the name Snowflakes Childminding. I have been a Childminder for 10 years and was a Primary school Teacher before becoming a childminder, teaching Reception and Year 1. I have a playroom for the children and a beautiful outside space where the children can play and learn alongside their friends. I meet up with other Childminders on a regular basis so the children have the opportunity to mix with lots of other children. We regularly go on a variety of outings including Forest School, gymnastics, farms visits, woodland walks, local parks, museums including Blist Hill, Enginuity and Toddler Groups. I do a variety of topics based on the interests of the children and festivals from around the world. Local Offer: My setting has an inclusion policy which welcomes any child. I have undergone training in various areas of SEND. I have experience of working with children with a variety of special needs including hearing and speech impediments. Within my setting each child is treated as an individual and their specific needs are met. Training and support would be accessed if needed to enable me to support the child and their family further.
