The aims of Shropshire Humanists are to spread knowledge of humanist thought and to help Humanists UK to campaign for equality in public life for those who live their lives without religion. Humanism is a philosophy of life rooted in concern for human beings and the natural world, without reference to religion or superstition. The group has eight meetings a year, usually the evening of the third Thursday of the month, at the University Centre in Frankwell, Shrewsbury. It also arranges social events in July and December and is involved in other events. All are welcome.
