Shrewsbury Canoe Club focuses primarily on the recreational side of paddle sport for children and adults in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It is also active in canoe polo and flat water racing. Club members participate in: white water kayak, traditional open canoe, sea kayak, placid water touring, freestyle, polo, flat water racing and marathon. During the summer (from about the beginning of May to early September), the club meets twice a week:Mondays for beginners and improvers, and open boat sessions; andWednesdays for intermediates.During the winter the club runs pool sessions on Tuesdays at the Quarry swimming pool. Polo sessions run at the Quarry pool on Monday evenings through the winter.
