Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) provide local support groups offering the opportunity to meet others who understand what you are going through. Meetings include a range of speakers on topics such as singing for lung health, keeping active, healthy eating, mental wellbeing, travel insurance and the latest news in research and treatments. Specialist staff are sometimes available for information and advice, and they also arrange informal social events from time to time. The Shropshire and North Powys Support Group meet at the Severn Hospice, on the first Thursday of each month, from 2pm to 3.30pm, and the group is open to anyone affected by pulmonary fibrosis, including patients, family, carers and friends.
