Bowbrook Primary school is a brand new Nursery and Primary School in Shrewsbury and is part of the 3-18 Education Trust a local academy trust of Shropshire Schools. Our ethos strongly promotes that each child is unique. We support children’s personal, social and emotional development along with communication skills and children will learn through play and a child-centred, enquiry based approach to learning. Tthe children will enjoy access to a rich, varied and resource filled environment and stimulating and multi-sensory activities. At Bowbrook Primary, we pride ourselves on ensuring the best possible start for our youngest children as we know a child’s development at this crucial stage has a fundamental impact on their happiness, school journey and shapes the young person they will become. Caterpillars is Bowbrook’s Nursery Class welcoming children aged 3-4 year olds. The 26 place Nursery is open 38 weeks of the year and also includes longer hours for working parents via Breakfast and After school care details below. Our Nursery and Reception classrooms have adjoining doors and a shared outdoor area so it’s a real team approach and children can share and access learning opportunities and resources to benefit everyone. Our Nursery is led by qualified Teachers, teaching phonics and promoting a love for reading will be a priority along with physical activity and enjoying the outdoors.Nursery children can visit their own library and specialist D&T classroom for cooking, use the studio hall for gymnastics and dance and be part of the wealth of school opportunities available such as trips, visitors, concerts, community events and specialist teachers for music. The Nursery will give the children a taste of school life, they will be able to interact with older children, get to know our Headteacher, play in our grounds and become familiar with a school routine. We know that many working parents will rely on extended hours and so we will be introducing a Breakfast Club and After School Club. Both clubs will be fun and purposeful with a range of activities both inside and outside. The clubs be delivered by our own school staff to ensure consistency and high quality. Breakfast Club is 7.45am – 8.45am at a cost of £4.00. After School Club is 3.20pm – 5.30pm at a cost of £11.00. There will be spaces for any nursery and reception child that is starting school with us.
