The Repair Café Highley brings volunteers together to fix, restore, and repurpose everyday items. Inspired by the international Repair Café movement, they aim to reduce waste, share skills, and promote sustainability. Got a broken item? – Bring it along, and their volunteers will do their best to fix it or offer repair advice. Whether it’s a broken toaster, a torn jacket, brakes on your bicycle, or a wobbly chair, the volunteers are there to try and help! On average repairs take about 40 minutes – If it needs longer, they will discuss the options available. Since they started they have been able to repair about 75% of items that have been brought to them which is fantastic for the environment.
