Community Resource offer free Arthritis Awareness workshops to support people living with osteoarthritis. The aim of this workshop is to help you better understand the condition and make informed choices about how you manage it. The workshop includes an informative presentation on osteoarthritis with a focus on self-management and pain relief. If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and you would like to know more about managing the condition, this session includes the opportunity to: watch a recorded question and answer session on osteoarthritis with Dr Anne O’Brien from Keele University; obtain information and resources on osteoarthritis and pain management support; participate in a free introductory exercise session; and get information on physical activity opportunities. These workshops typically last a couple of hours and are available at venues across the county. Community Resource also run other health workshops covering a range of different topics including continence, diabetes, falls prevention, healthy eating, menopause and stroke.
