Still Caring is a social group for people who are, or have been until recently, caring for someone else. The Group is for carers who are: no longer physically caring or their caring role has come to an end; isolated by their current caring role, but are able to leave their cared-for person, for a short time, and want to socialise with others. It provides an opportunity for carers to: find a friendly face and warm conversation over a cuppa; meet others who understand your situation; share stories without judgement; find out about other activities happening locally; and build confidence with returning to a social situation. Meetings are held in various coffee shops around Shrewsbury, on the first Friday of each month, from 11am to 12.30pm, with occasional walks or other outings.
