Being in a rural area can sometimes feel isolating — especially when you’re navigating home education. This group was created to offer support, connection, and community for families in Shropshire who are home educating, for any reason. The group knows that many families are: Awaiting a tribunal date due to not having an appropriate school placement Feeling that the current education system isn’t working for their child or family Looking for friendships, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging This group welcomes families of all ages and abilities — including those with neurodiverse children, school-based anxiety or avoidance, or those who simply feel that home education is the best fit for them. The group aims to create a friendly, inclusive space where children can enjoy socialising, activities, and trips, while parents connect and support each other.
