Talking Newspapers for the Blind provides recorded readings from local newspapers and magazines. Listeners are also informed of any changes in Oswestry Town centre such as building sites or road works that may cause hazards. The memory sticks are distributed weekly and the playing equipment is supplied, free of charge by Oswestry Talking News. The postage for the sending and returning of the memory sticks is free. The service is available to anyone registered blind or partially sighted by sending in an application. If you are not registered as blind or partially sighted then the application must be signed by an optician, ophthalmologist or doctor.
