Shrewsbury parkrun is a free, fun, friendly 5k community event, for people of all levels of fitness, from walking to club runners.Participants can walk, jog, run, and volunteer at parkrun, or do a bit of everything. You are free to take part however you want, at whatever speed you want, and everyone is welcome.All parkruns are free to attend, but participants need to register in advance. Once registered with parkrun, you can participate in any of their events at any time without letting them know that you are going. There is also a junior section for children aged between 4 and 14 years of age.The Shrewsbury parkrun takes place at The Quarry Park each Saturday morning, at 9am.All parkrun events are organised by volunteers, and new members are always welcome to help carry out roles such as setting up the event, marshalling, timekeeping, scanning, handing out finish tokens or tail walking.For more information, including details of how to register, please follow the link to visit their website.
