Shrewsbury Homes for All (SHFA) is a local charity working to ensure that people in the Shrewsbury area are adequately housed. SHFA offers free and confidential housing advice and information, and works alongside many other local groups concerned with the needs of the homeless. SHFA can help by: helping complete housing or other benefit forms exploring the options available housing you with one of our own private landlords when vacancies arise providing a rent account scheme and offers advice on finding the first month’s rent providing a bond guarantee scheme if you do not have a deposit to put down on a property (available if you are on a low income or receiving benefits and subject to eligibility and availability of funds) talking to landlords, letting agents and statutory bodies on your behalf assisting with the practicalities of setting up a home, for example, referrals to the Furniture Scheme, and setting up utility supplies offering ongoing support enabling you to develop the necessary skills to live independently in your home For more information, please follow the link to visit their website.
