Tickwood Care Farm is a registered charity providing opportunities for disabled or disadvantaged children and young adults. At Tickwood there are many opportunities for further development.From extending accessibility and wheelchair access through more of the woodland, to small localised events (the special games) and larger festivals all targeted towards disabled and disadvantaged participants to exploit their individual talents and interests.Up to 300 children and young adults visit the farm and woodlands each week helping them increase self belief, self confidence and everyday skills.For the older students Tickwood Care Farm help to develop more opportunities for the world of work by linking with companies who would like to be involved and then develop a relationship not only to benefit students but also the companies’ employees.
