Shrewsbury Ramblers Group enjoy walks covering Shrewsbury, the Shropshire Hills and the Welsh Borders.They produce programmes of walks three times a year, and information about their walks is displayed at the Tourist Information Centre, Shrewsbury Library, and the Library at the Lantern.The Group meet at the following departure points:the back of the Meole Brace Park and Ride site each Tuesday (7.5 to 10 miles) and Thursday (5 to 7 miles), andAbbey Foregate car park each Sunday morning at 9.15am for a 9:30am departure (7.5 to 10 miles).In the summer months there are Wednesday evening walks starting at 7pm from various local pubs, and they also offer occasional Saturday walks using buses.Everyone is welcome to join any of the group’s walks; however, it is essential to book onto the walk with the leader whose name and contact details are published in the walk programme, and as the terrain and conditions are changeable, suitable footwear is essential.
