Our helpline is open 24 hours a day, everyday of the year. All calls are answered by volunteers and staff who have breastfed their own children, have completed comprehensive training and undertake ongoing training and supervision. We’re here for you on every step on your breastfeeding journey however old your baby is, one day, one week, one month, one year old or more. Calls to the Helpline cost no more than calls to UK numbers starting 01 or 02 and are part of any inclusive minutes that apply to your mobile provider or call package. Support is also available in Welsh, Polish, Bengali & Sylheti and for people who have hearing or speech impairments. Social media support The National Breastfeeding Helpline is available via Facebook and Instagram, 24/7. Our team of social media volunteers are here every day of the year offering evidence-based breastfeeding information and support. They are all also mothers with their own experience of breastfeeding. Please follow the links and leave the team a message – we’ll answer within 6 hours during our opening times but it’ll often be sooner.
