Nestled in the grounds of an imposing Shrewsbury residence, Twyford Tots Nursery embraces all the advantages of a spacious English garden setting with shady trees and different surfaces, yet skilfully combines all the security conscious facilities required of a modern children’s Day Nursery. Our main objective is to provide a happy and stimulating environment under the watchful eyes and care of our well qualified and experienced staff. By ensuring a safe, emotionally stable and homely atmosphere, you can relax in the knowledge that your child/ren are receiving to quality child care. Every baby, toddler and pre-schooler is allocated an individual security code and the whole nursery has a strict, sophisticated security and intercom system in operation. Twyford Tots Nursery is structured by age group into 3 areas – The Honey Pot, Toddler Unit and Pre-school Unit. The open plan rooms within each unit have been carefully arranged to provide age appropriate resources so that all our children develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually with facilities planned to ensure creativity, imagination, natural open ended play and physical activity. Learning therefore becomes fun and this creates a very firm foundation for entry into primary school. At the same time, we recognise the need for allocating specific time to enjoy and benefit from physical activities. The beautiful grounds surrounding Twyford Tots Nursery provide each unit with their own dedicated garden providing plenty of secure outside activities. Local offer: We are an inclusive setting, so for the majority of children with SEN, including those supported with an Education Health Care plan (EHCP), we endeavour to meet identified needs. We have a dedicated SENCo and so are able to provide 1:1 support through funding from Shropshire Council – these places, however, are limited to a certain capacity. Our dedicated SENCo also supports identified Speech & Language needs Getting the right support at an early age is very important for all children and young people so that they can prepare for their life as an adult. We will endeavour to adapt our practice to provide targeted intervention so that most children and young people with SEND can achieve their potential. For a small number of children, however, our setting might not be the most appropriate placement to meet their special educational needs, and a more specialist placement may be required. £6.00 per hour, £60.00 per day.
