Kids Cancer Charity, formerly Christian Lewis Trust Children’s Cancer Care, is a national charity which offers care and support to children with cancer and their families. Aims: to improve the quality of life for children / young people affected by cancer to provide emotional and practical support that complements and adds value to the services provided by the statutory authorities to recognise that childhood cancer affects the entire family Their services are therefore made available to the entire family and may include: Holidays: The charity offers specially co-ordinated programmes to ensure that families can enjoy ‘stress-free’ holiday breaks – in the UK, Disneyland Paris or even Disney World Florida. Although not in a position to provide any funding for a holiday to Orlando, the charity aims to offer the very best of facilities to ensure special memories that will last forever. Play Therapy: The Trust offers therapeutic services to children and teenagers affected by cancer (restricted to South Wales). Befriending: The Trust provides support and a listening ear for anyone affected by child cancer. Support is offered to individuals either personally, face to face or by telephone. Bereavement: The Charity has extensive experience of supporting both children and adults come to terms with death and offers ‘one to one’ bereavement and pre-bereavement support to individuals and their families.
