We operate a Breakfast Club from 7:45 am daily in term time, where children meet and have breakfast together. Breakfast Club ends at 8:30 am and children then get ready to enter their classrooms for morning registration. We offer a wide range of after-school clubs, which are run by school staff or external providers. Clubs run from 3:15 pm until 4:30 p.m. every day during term time, apart from film club Wednesdays which runs until 5:30 pm and includes a hot snack. As well as a range of sporting activities, we offer art/craft, performing arts, French, book, ‘Fun Friday’ (wellbeing club), and computing clubs. Parents and guardians receive a half-termly overview of available clubs and use sQuid – an online booking system – to book their child into clubs. Externally-provided clubs are booked in half-termly blocks and staff-run clubs can be booked weekly.Children attending our Nursery from aged 3 upwards are able to attend Breakfast Club and a number of our after-school clubs. Bicton Primary School has a dedicated on-site Nursery for 2 – 4 Year Olds and staff have been easing the transition between home life and school life for families for years. Our days are split into sessions: morning 9am – 11.30am & afternoon 11.30am -3pm, which we ask you to book before the beginning of each term. Our nursery is set within a very modern well-designed building. The spacious, bright and airy rooms provide a wonderful atmosphere for the children to play in.Our bathroom facilities are purpose-built for small children with tiny toilets and low sinks. We have different areas of play centred around our large main room. In addition to our main room, we also have a separate parent’s room, an outside play area with generous sheltered areas and we make full use of the school hall, school field, Forest School area and wildlife garden. With our purpose-built setting, we are able to provide your children with the best opportunities for real free flow play. Large glazed doors open out directly onto our playground where the children can freely move from one environment to another. Free flow play is recognised as an important part of early years development, and we are able to fulfil this with ease with the design of our building.
