St John the Baptist C.E. Primary School is an inclusive rural school with around 140 pupils whose main objective is to provide a happy and safe learning environment. It is situated in the heart of the village, overlooking fields and open countryside, and has close links with the local church and community. What we do: As a school we work closely with pupils and parents to ensure provision is personalised for your child to ensure they are happy and making progress to reach their potential. Children’s needs are met by teachers differentiating the National Curriculum to meet individual needs. In some cases children may also work in small groups following Intervention Programmes or working 1:1 with an adult. We offer a range of lunchtime and after school clubs involving sports, crafts, cookery, music and a homework club. The school runs a Wobble Club after lunchtime every day for those children needing support with physical needs, for example, fine and gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination. We offer wrap around care for children between the ages of 2 years and 11 years (as long as they attend our School/Nursery) Breakfast Club runs from 8.00am until 9.00am and After School is from 3.00 pm (Nursery) and 3.15pm (Reception – Year 6) until 5.45pm.
