Corvedale is a small, friendly, family orientated rural primary school situated in the village of Diddlebury nestled at the heart of the picturesque Corve Dale between the historic towns of Ludlow and Much Wenlock. We cater for children from 2 to 11 years of age. Families choose our school and nursery because children receive exciting and challenging learning experiences, supported by an extensive curriculum within a fabulous setting. Our whole school ethos is founded on Christian values and we explicitly link our mission statement to our values through our curriculum planning and collective worship. The school is SEND friendly with a qualified SENCo. Children are fully integrated and receive support that caters for individual need. Our breakfast club opens at 8am every morning till the start of school. It is for school age and nursery age children. After-school club is open Monday to Friday till 5.30pm. It costs £3.90 per hour for school aged children. £4.60 per hour for 3-4 year olds; £5.00 per hour for 2 year-olds.Children may have cereal, toast, biscuits, sandwiches or fruit included in the cost. The Nursery is located within the main building of Corvedale C of E Primary School. It provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play, using excellent resources and many opportunities for children to develop their social skills as they play alongside and with other children. The facility was refurbished in 2021 and includes a spacious outdoor area, a mud kitchen, as well as access to the whole school grounds, hall and dining room. We encourage independence and self-confidence throughout. We provide a wide range of new experiences and activities for the children. Our dedicated and experienced staff team are committed to providing the highest quality early education and well being of the children.Through adult-led and child-initiated activities, every day is varied with opportunities for art, music, early mathematics and literacy skills. The Nursery works together with our Reception class allowing a seamless transition for children as they reach school age. Nursery accepts children from the age of 2 years – starting the term following their 2nd birthday. Each child eligible for 24U funding is eligible to 15 hours funded sessions. Children aged 3 and over are also eligible for 15 hours funded sessions but can attend more sessions if required. These additional sessions are charged at £4.60 per hour for 3 & 4 year-olds, £5.00 for 2 year-olds term time only (this can be pro rata i.e. for a 3-4 year-old £2.30 for half an hour, and £1.15 for 15 minutes) The morning session starts at 9.00 am and ends at 12 noon There is an option to pay for the lunch hour. The afternoon session runs from 12 noon and ends at 3.00pm. A full day (six hours) for a 3/4 year-old is £27.60 and 2 year-old £30.00.Hot lunches, prepared on site in the school kitchen, are available and cost £2.40 for nursery pupils. These can be ordered at morning registration, no need to pre-book. After School Care sessions are available to all pupils from 3.15-5.30pm, charged at the same rate as during the nursery day.
