Ovarian Cancer Action is working to prevent, detect, and treat ovarian cancer better so that by 2032, at least half of women with ovarian cancer will live for 10 years. The charity aims to stop women dying from ovarian cancer by raising awareness of the disease, and funding world-class scientific research to make ovarian cancer treatment more effective. They campaign to enable understanding of the risk factors, symptoms and treatment options for ovarian cancer in order that women can access the best possible treatment path. The Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre drives new and more targeted treatments from pre-clinical studies, to clinical trials and into gynaecological clinics across the UK, and they only fund research that can be translated into meaningful outcomes for real women in real life.
