The Shropshire Autism Hub is the umbrella for a range of services provided for autistic adults over 18 in Shropshire. It is available for people both pre- and post-diagnosis, providing impartial and reliable advice and information for individuals, families, carers, and professionals about the services on offer in the county. The Hub offers: access to the adult diagnostic pathway and initial pre-screening, 1:1 advice and support by phone, email and face to face, small group activities, discussion sessions and workshops, peer support, access to a wide range of resources, Calm Café at Louise House, open Tuesday to Thursday, from 10am to 3pm, and supported Hub sessions available Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1pm to 3pm . All services are offered subject to initial registration with the Hub to allow staff to discuss individual needs and provide the most appropriate support. Unfortunately they do have a waiting list, and therefore, may not be able to offer immediate attendance. The aims of the Hub are to: help with coping strategies, improve confidence, learn to socialise in a safe environment, promote independent living, and support self-management. Please contact via telephone or email to discuss registration or to arrange a first visit. The Autism Hub is also open to contacts from professionals for advice and discussion of potential referrals.
