Myositis UK is a small national charity providing information to those affected by myositis. The charity provides information, advice and support about the rare group of diseases known as the inflammatory myopathies, which includes dermatomyositis, juvenile dermatomyositis, polymyositis, inclusion body myositis, and myositis antisynthetase syndrome. They provide this help through their website, newsletters, guides, and publications, as well as providing opportunities for those affected by myositis to engage with others both online and face-to-face, to relieve the isolation that can be felt when someone is diagnosed with a rare disease. Membership is free, and the charity has a private Facebook group, plus an online community zone.
