The Bog Visitor Centre and Bog mine lie 1300ft up in the south Shropshire Hills at the foot of the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve – an important geological and wildlife site noted in folklore for the exploits fo Wild Edric. The Centre offers refreshements, information on walks in the area and local census records from 1841-1901 plus school registers. Local crafts on display and books for sale. With ample car parking it is the ideal starting point for many walks around the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve.
