Jess is a certified play and creative arts therapist and registered member of Play Therapy UK, who primarily supports children aged 4-13. Jess has extensive experience in working with children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, including those impacted by trauma and abuse and/or exhibiting problematic behaviours. In addition to her therapeutic work, Jess is a qualified teacher in primary education with 11 years of teaching experience. She also has 7 years experience within the voluntary sector providing group and individual support and intervention for children, families and professionals. Play and creative arts therapy can benefit any child or young person who is experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges in relation to (but not limited to) the following areas: adoption/fostering, abuse, attachment and trauma, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, emotional or behavioural difficulties, family breakdown, friendship difficulties, illness, low self-esteem, nightmares, physical regulation issues (e.g. sleeping, eating and toileting) or social withdrawal. Jess is based in central Shropshire and is able to work throughout Shropshire and Telford in educational and therapeutic settings.
