Brockton Primary School is part of The Edge School’s Federation. We are proud of the family atmosphere at our school. Children come to us with different needs and every child is an individual, with differing abilities. We are careful to match the work to each child’s capabilities; always seeking to help them reach their full potential in every aspect. We hope to provide an environment that will develop their confidence and independence as well as their knowledge, skills and understanding. We believe that learning should be exciting, stimulating and challenging and endeavour to plan as many first-hand experiences as possible. We take learning outside as much as possible so that our children can learn from the real world. The school provides wrap around care. Our Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs provide a safe, welcoming space for children outside of normal school hours. Breakfast Club runs every morning, offering a healthy start to the day and fun activities. Our Afterschool Club (known as Brockton Beyond the Bell) is filled with games, crafts, and opportunities to play with friends, all supervised by caring staff. These clubs are a great way to support busy families while giving children a positive start and finish to their school day. Both Breakfast and Afterschool Club is available for children in Reception to Year 6. Breakfast club costs £4.50 per session and includes toast and a drink and after school club costs from £4.50 – £8.00. Our nursery (Brockton Wrens) welcomes children from the age of two until they start school, offering a warm, caring, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that each child’s learning and development is supported through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.We offer a range of sessions to suit family needs, including morning, afternoon, and full-day places where available.
