Chester Road Bowling Club caters for all ages and abilities, offering gentle exercise in the open air.The Bowling Club provides the opportunity for anyone who may be experiencing loneliness, to meet like-minded people and form new friendships.The bowling season runs from the beginning of April to the end of September. There are matches most week-day evenings during the season, plus many afternoons, and there are special open sessions most Monday afternoons from 1.30pm when beginners are very welcome. The Club also hold Social Saturdays, usually from 11am to 1pm when anyone is welcome to drop in.If you are a beginner, the Club can provide free tuition and also loan you some bowls. There is no pressure to join, just go along and give it a try. New members are always most welcome.
