Consortium is the national umbrella body of over 600 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) organisations and projects, aiming to: publicise their work and to encourage and assist the development of partnerships between them; assist the organisations to develop their capacity to achieve their purpose more effectively; promote volunteering; promote good practice in the use and employment of volunteers; work with other volunteer support agencies to promote awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
