Fordhall Organic Farm is the first community owned farm in England. The Fordhall Community Land Initiative as a Social Enterprise works to develop the farm as a thriving organic farm and as an educational resource helping people to connect food, the environment and farming. They are able to provide support for individuals with a Personal Budget, and cater for individuals interested in working in our community garden, growing vegetables and fruit, learning about gardening whilst also being sensitive to the needs of the environment. There are also opportunities to partake in outdoor cooking sessions such as baking pizzas in the clay oven or making and cooking soups over an open fire. They also offer conservation work on the farm, the chance to help maintain the community orchard and much, much more, including offering support to individuals in a friendly, safe and caring environment. There is a Nature Trail, picnic area, farm shop and tea room. The farm is open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday, and events are held throughout the year. The farm can also host group bookings in their function room, which is also available for private parties, and guided tours can be booked in advance, as can group lunches or functions. There are opportunities for volunteers to contribute indoors or outdoors, including help with office tasks, fencing, painting, planting seeds and more https://www.facebook.com/fordhallorganicfarm/ Availability information Tuesday to Saturday – 9:30am-5pm Sunday – 10am-4pm We're sorry but <%= htmlWebpackPlugin.options.title %> doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled.
