Market Drayton Climate Action was set up in January 2022 by local people in Market Drayton and the surrounding areas to take action against climate change. They have five working groups for climate action: Community Awareness, Biodiversity and Green Spaces, Responsible Consumption, Lobbying, and Transport. Main meetings are held monthly, with additional working group meetings in between. All ideas for action welcome – whatever you want to do, they would love to hear about it and work together to make it happen. The group has support from the Town Council, Shropshire Council, Zero Carbon Shropshire and the Marches Energy Trust, amongst others.
