The Marches School is a secondary school and sixth form, catering for children aged between 11 and 18. The Marches School is part of the Marches Academy Trust. They are a forward thinking, innovative school, striving to ensure that young people make the very most of their learning adventure and are equipped with the skills required to prosper in the 21st century. They are proud of all they have to offer in their vibrant and happy learning community, from their transition programme into Year 7, right through to supporting students to secure university places at some of the top providers, in Year 13. There is an extensive range of clubs and extra-curricular activities taking place during lunchtimes and after school until 4.05pm and include offers from PE, Music, Drama, IT, English, History, Science and beyond. School life is about much more beyond academic achievement. Activities change from term to term depending on the seasons and popularity of individual clubs. In the Sixth Form they provide a post-16 facility where you can access an exceptionally high standard of education, strong pastoral networks, and a full range of enrichment activities, in an independent and supportive learning environment. The Sixth Form Centre provides independence and autonomy away from the lower school and students have full access to top-class ICT facilities. Academic work is supported by a strong tutorial system. Many students have gone on to study at some of the country’s leading Universities. They offer a brilliant selection of subjects at both A Level and BTEC so you’re sure to find your ideal combination.
