Spectra is a high-quality, flexible, traded support service to schools and other agencies in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and surrounding areas. Our team of Specialist Advisors offer personalised support and advice for children and young people with needs related to the autism spectrum, social interaction and communication difficulties, speech and language difficulties, challenging behaviour, anxiety and low self-esteem. The range of flexible support that can be provided by Spectra includes, but is not limited to: Direct pupil support through one to one and a wide range of specialist approaches Small group approaches, including social skills groups Offering advice, targets & support strategies Specialist assessment, reviews, written reports and contribution to relevant meetings Observation and assessment for possible triggers, stressors and sensory sensitivities Transition support between year groups, key stages, and settings Providing resources for use with children and young people Signposting and advising parents Liaison with other agencies Key worker support, including training and modelling of specialist approaches Speech, Language and Communication needs assessment, advice & training Autism awareness raising sessions for staff, children and the wider school community Spectra offers a wide range of specialist training and practical courses that can be tailored to the needs of schools and other settings.
