Wem and District u3a (University of the Third Age) is an organisation for semi-retired and retired people who would like to get more out of life by meeting like-minded people. They meet at Wem Town Hall on the first Tuesday of the month (except January and August), at 10am, and they have speakers on varied subjects. Throughout the month there is a choice of 26 groups of varying interests who meet up, and members are encouraged to share their skills and knowledge, and to learn from others.
