As an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ registered childminder I aim to work together in partnership with parents to provide quality care in a warm, friendly, fun and loving home environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued. I always aim to create a stimulating environment where independence can be developed and, through play, will incorporate many fun learning activities to promote all round development. Respect towards self, others and the environment will always be encouraged. I am a registered childminder working Monday to Friday from 8am till 5.30pm (4.30pm finish on Wednesdays and Fridays). I provide care for children from birth to 5 years old and I can provide funded places for eligible 2 year olds and also 3 and 4 year olds. I work closely with parents to ascertain the needs of the children as all children are individual and all have different needs. This also enables me to identify the starting points so that I can keep track of development in the children’s learning journeys. I work from home which is a semi-detached house, on the edge of a small village. The local park is a short walk from my house and we often use the park for picnics, playtime, and meeting up with other childminders and parents (weather permitting). The areas that I use for childminding are all on one level and I also have a downstairs toilet. I have a good sized playroom where most of the toys are accessible to the children. Parents will be kept up to date with their child’s progress and care and I welcome any feedback about any of the aspects of care that I give. I will work with other agencies or people that are involved in the care and welfare of the children to ensure that the children’s needs are met and that they have the opportunity to develop and learn to the best of their ability. Local offer for families of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities: I have had experience with children on the autistic spectrum, children with epilepsy and I have also cared for a child with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. I am also willing to do any training needed. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any other information; I look forward to hearing from you.
