Families Need fathers is the UK’s leading shared parenting charity. Families Need Fathers seeks to obtain, for the children, the best possible blend of both parents in the lives of children; enough for the children to realise that both parents are fully involved in their lives. Legally, parents should be of equal status.Responsibilities and obligations, caring and financial, should be fairly shared between the parents. They offer information, advice and support services to help parents to achieve a positive outcome for their children. Families Need Fathers was awarded the Help and Support for Separated Families Kite Mark, a new UK government accreditation scheme for organisations offering help to separated families. Their Helpline is available from 9am – 10pm Monday – Friday and from 10am – 3pm at weekends offering advice and support.
