Ludlow and District RDA provides riding activities to children and adults from Ludlow, and the surrounding areas (including Craven Arms, the Corvedale, and Cleobury Mortimer) who meet the requirements for RDA support and who can benefit in some way, however small, from participation in these activities. The disabilities the riders and drivers contend with are wide-ranging, from social and behavioural problems to severe mental and physical impairment. Ludlow and District RDA use these equestrian sports to combine education, therapy and fun to improve the lives of the 70 or so people who ride or drive with them on a regular basis. All fundraising is used to subsidise them. Without this support, horse riding / driving would be out of reach for most of them, but the subsidy provided enables them to participate. Horse riding for adults and children with disabilities in the Ludlow area takes place at Country Treks at Stottesdon.
