Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College group is made up of five colleges covering Herefordshire and North Shropshire. North Shropshire College in Oswestry is a leading provider of further education in Shropshire. It offers a wide range of learning opportunities including apprenticeships and full-time programmes. They are a relatively small college, allowing them to support every student to achieve their personal best: they treat you as an individual, not a number. There is flexibility at Oswestry, as they know that many young people living in rural communities face long daily journeys and have structured the timetables with this in mind. Students have free half-days and, in most cases, a free day every week. They have an exciting, modern campus with top-of-the-range facilities, including a commercial restaurant, training kitchens and outdoor sports pitches. They continually invest in the facilities and 2023 saw the completion of a brand-new construction training centre, state-of-the-art commercial hair and beauty salons and science laboratories. In 2025 they added a new gym and refurbished the canteen. They also offer a fully equipped daycare nursery on site with places for babies, toddlers and school age children up to 12 years.
