Moreton Millennium Community Centre serves Moreton and surrounding villages in the Newport area. It is a registered charity, and is managed by Trustees and volunteers. The Centre was a Millennium project and as such, provides modern facilities which are available to hire for a variety of functions, including birthdays, weddings, etc, and also hosts music concerts on a regular basis. There is a car park with level access for wheelchair users, and the Centre has a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. The Main Hall has a capacity of 120 and is fully air conditioned. It is currently used for the following activities: Monday evenings – badminton Friday evenings and Sunday mornings – karate. The Centre has a fully fitted kitchen adjacent to the the Main Hall providing ample catering facilities for use by hirers. The Lower Hall (also air conditioned) has a capacity of 50, and is arranged as a social meeting room. It can be hired with a Skittle Alley for smaller parties, and a stairlift is available. In addition, there is a Social Club Room with licensed bar, which is also available for hire subject to availability. It is currently in use on Monday, Wednesday & Saturday evenings, from 8pm to 11pm, and is also used on a regular basis by: Moreton Gardening Club Moreton WI Moreton Darts Team Community Worship (second and fourth Thursday mornings, from 10.30am to 11.30am Over 50’s Lunch Club (third Thursday of the month between noon and 2.30pm).
