Dear Albert is a peer-led, recovery focused, social enterprise specialising in helping people resolve substance use issues. They have links with peer support fellowships such as Smart Recovery, ACT PR and 12 Steps, and work in close collaboration with statutory funded drug and alcohol agencies, private rehabs, local authorities to provide a full range of treatment choices and services. Their mission statement is to make recovery more visible, accessible and attainable for all. Dear Albert also provide a helpline to support clients and families address substance use, and work with clients and families (short to long term) to resolve resistance / ambivalence, and increase motivation for change. They undertake assessments which enable them to support clients into an appropriate treatment programme and can also refer clients to a full choice of recovery focused treatment options.
