Community Resource Buddy Veteran Volunteers aim to help serving personnel and their families with the challenges of life in the armed forces. These volunteers are veterans that use their lived experience and life skills to help and support currently serving personnel and their families as part of the Community Resource Serving Families: On the Move project, adding real value to the serving communities of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. All Buddy Volunteers receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from the project team, and there is no set requirement for the amount of time you need to give, with flexible opportunities available to work around the commitments in your life. The cost of any necessary travel is reimbursed. Volunteers are required to undertake a mandatory DBS check.
