Community Resource offer free Continence Awareness workshops to support you or someone you care for in living with continence issues. The aim of this workshop is to raise awareness, offer practical advice, and reduce the stigma associated with incontinence. The workshop includes an informative presentation on incontinence with a focus on symptoms and causes, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy bladder and bowel. If you or someone you care for is experiencing bladder or bowel leakage and you would like to know more about how to manage, or even improve these symptoms, this session includes the opportunity to: watch a recorded question and answer session with the Shropshire NHS Continence Advisory Service; gain information on self-management techniques including pelvic floor exercises; and obtain details of incontinence support groups and charities. These workshops typically last a couple of hours and are available at venues across the county. Community Resource also run other health workshops covering a range of different topics including arthritis, diabetes, falls prevention, healthy eating, menopause and stroke.
