Cleobury Mortimer Primary School is situated in a small market town with a great community spirit. The town’s unique twisted spire helps to mark the gateway to Shropshire. The primary school offers places for children between the ages of 4 to 11 year olds and also Nursery places for 3 to 4 year olds in the attached Nursery. We are part of The Shropshire Gateway Educational Trust. We are proud of the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the school, where children work co-operatively to achieve the very best they possibly can in all areas of the curriculum. Establishing and maintaining good relationships between staff and children is very important to us, and the supportive, nurturing ethos of the school bears witness to our success in this area. We always strive to achieve the highest possible standards, but also work hard to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which is enjoyable and fun. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all backgrounds and with a range of learning needs. Bespoke pastoral care for children dealing with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties through a Learning Mentor. Our purpose built nursery provision (Ducklings) has ‘outstanding’ teacher led sessions. ELKLAN trained staff to deliver Speech and Language Therapy sessions. The nursery is inclusive setting, who pride ourselves on valuing each child. We like to offer each child the very best experiences. All our staff are highly trained and enthusiastic. Our nursery has daily time spent in our reception class for ease of transition. We work closely with our parents and offer regular activity sessions for parents to come in and join the children.
