The Shrewsbury Branch of the National Federation of Occupational Pensioners is one of 210 branches in the Federation and currently has approximately 200 members. The Federation aims to promote the well-being and improvement of pensioners’ lives through all official avenues, and the Shrewsbury Branch meets on the first Friday of each month. The National Federation also incorporates British Steel pensioners and has a total of 115,000 members, making it the largest pensioner organisation in the UK.
