Mayfair Community Centre is run by the Community for the Community. With the help of over 300 volunteers, they provide a wide range of support services and activities for people in the Strettons and surrounding areas.Services and activities the Mayfair Community Centre provide include:arts and crafts;bathing and laundry services;crèche;day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities;exercise classes – including chair based Yoga, Extend, Tai Chi, Belly Dancing, as well as classes for strength and balance to target falls prevention;help with computers;Listeners are available between 10am and 12noon each weekday;support and activities for people with care and support needs (Beacon);Walking for Health – four walks a week at different levels;a selection of rooms to hire for training, meetings, etc. (Catering can be provided.);a wide range of complementary health services and therapies;Mayfair has two cafes;hot meal delivery service available 365 days a year for the Strettons;MAYSI – link through to MAYSI pagebefriending and support for people in their own homes – CoCoMayfair provides door to door transport through Church Stretton Area’s Ring & Ride service.A hairdresser is available every Monday, between 9am and 3pm, and a Country Market sells local produce every Friday, from 9am to 11.30am (March – December).Mayfair operates across two buildings; the Community Centre and Health and Wellbeing Centre, situated in the heart of Church Stretton close to the shops and the Medical Centre.
