Crohn’s & Colitis UK are the leading charity for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative the Colitis, the two most common forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). They have 50 Local Networks operating across the UK to engage their local Crohn’s and Colitis community and raise awareness of the conditions with members of the public. An estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. Crohn’s & Colitis UK aim to give people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis hope, comfort and confidence, to make sure their voices are heard, and help them live freer, fuller lives. Founded as a patients’ association in 1979, they now have over 40,000 members across the UK. These aren’t just people who have Crohn’s or Colitis; members also include their families and friends, health professionals and others who support our work.
