The Friends of the Montgomery Canal are an independent group working alongside the Montgomery Waterway Restoration Trust to involve the whole community in determining the future of the Montgomery Canal. They support the current restoration effort and aim to ensure that all interests, including the needs of wildlife, are considered and that the built environment is preserved and enhanced and that the canal is eventually returned to navigable standards. If you become a Friend of the Montgomery Canal you have an opportunity to get involved and for your voice to be heard. A regular newsletter contains stories and issues relating to the canal, news and restoration updates, competitions and details of events and activities. Our events page will keep you up to date with walks, talks and community and social activities. Download an application form from the Friends section of the Montgomery Canal website.
