The Leisure Services Team at Shropshire Council works year round to provide and develop opportunities for the people of Shropshire to take part in leisure in their own community – be that in sport, play or health and physical activity programmes. More than that, it seeks to create a culture of active lifestyles amongst Shropshire residents and provide the means to sustain this into the future. This is demonstrated through its work with sports clubs, community groups, partners, coaches and volunteers to provide progression routes and sustainable participation opportunities, at both competitive and non-competitive levels.
