The Warehouse provides a community reuse facility, collecting donated furniture and household goods, and selling good quality items to those that need them. It is operated by Presteigne and Norton Community Support (PNCS), a registered charity primarily providing transport for local residents to medical appointments both nearby and further afield. Funds raised in The Warehouse, and in PNCS’ other shop in Presteigne High Street help to subsidise the cost of this service. In addition to raising essential funding for the charity, The Warehouse also provides a source of low cost household items for the community and also helps to reduce the amount of items going to landfill. The Warehouse is always in need of donations of clean, saleable items, including the following: furniture such as sofas, chairs, tables, wardrobes, chests of drawers (soft furnishings must have a fire label); electrical goods (which must have a plug and be CE marked, but will all be PAT tested before being resold); pots, pans, crockery, kitchen items; curtains, bedding, cushions; shoes, bags, clothing; and garden furniture, tools; (Please note that donations unfit for sale actually costs the charity money in disposal costs.) PNCS is always seeking new volunteers to help in our shops and also drivers for the transport scheme. For more information, please use the contact details provided.
