Alopecia UK is a registered charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through support, awareness and research. The charity provides information, support and advice to those affected by all types of hair loss. Alopecia UK has a number of volunteer-led support groups across the UK. Alopecia is an unpredictable condition and can be partial (small patches on the scalp) or hair loss over the whole body. A local group meets regularly in Birmingham city centre. The main focus of the group is to help people come to terms with what can be a devastating condition, also for information sharing and support.
